Human Rights activist cum African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Omoyele Sowore, has frowned at the ‘show of shame’ displayed in court during the arraignment of suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
Naija News reports that after the drama that occurred in court between the Department of State Services (DSS) and Prison Officials, Emefiele was rearrested.
Reacting to the turnout of events, Sowore, in a post via Twitter, recalled how the DSS abducted him in 2019 in front of an Abuja Federal High Court Judge.
A former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mike Ejiofor, has revealed the reason for the recent reduction in cases of banditry across the country. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television‘s programme ‘Sunrise Daily’ on Monday, Ejiofor said the reduction in the activities of bandits could be traced to Ramadan currently being observed by Muslims across the country.
Ejiofor said most of the bandits are religious people who are also observing Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
