Nigerian troops have once again killed scores of Boko Haram insurgents at Konduga, Borno state. According to a statement on the official website of the Defence Headquarters, this morning, September 17, the troops crushed the insurgents who were on a revenge mission to Konduga. Soldiers had last week killed no fewer than 150 insurgents in Konduga and the sect had regrouped and came back yesterday in greater force but they were repelled by the soldiers in a gun battle which lasted for about 12 hours, beginning last night, till the early hours of today.
