Diana Ernestine Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer.
Following her departure from the Supremes in 1970, Ross released her eponymous debut solo album that same year, which contained the Top 20 Pop hit "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" and the number-one Pop hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". She later released the album Touch Me in the Morning in 1973; its title track reached number 1, as her second solo #1 hit.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday revealed why it is yet to take a step on the court ruling which sacked the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi. The National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, while speaking at the end of the management meeting of the commission said the decision has not been reached due to the controversy surrounding the ruling.

The Lagos Police Command has paraded 49 suspects arrested at the Yoruba nation rally, held in the Ojota area of the state on Saturday. Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Sunday, the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, said the suspects were arrested for violating the ban that no rally or gathering should hold in the state.
The commissioner said the suspects will be transferred to the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for investigation and prosecution.
